The buildout of the 335i has already BEGUN! I will have a few lighting DIYs available soon. This will be a fantastic effort to get it ready for the big BIMMERFEST show in May.
On that note, I am proud to welcome MICHELIN to my330i.com as a sponsor of the new 335i Project Car. They have provided Pilot Sport 2 tires for our new wheels (to be announced soon as well). We sincerely appreciate their support! |

 |
IT HAS ARRIVED!
The 335i is here! Fresh off the truck, not even detailed yet, and I am already salivating at getting this car looking REALLY hot. Parts are in hand, on order, and planned. The work begins this weekend! I hope to have a good chunk of the changes done by Bimmerfest in May. Depends on some sponsor decisions and the depth of my pockets! |
 |
January 16, 2008
 |
I have updated the TRACKING page with more information and a world map showing the 335i as it comes over to the US.
Mod list has already begun, details to follow! |

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The my335i Project Car has departed Germany today and is aboard the WWL Vessel Tarifa en route to Port Hueneme, CA. Estimated delivery is first week of February. Stay tuned! |
 |

 |
Production UPDATE:
The 335i Coupe build was bumped even earlier and has already been completed. As of today, the car is at the port in Bremerhaven, Germany and is awaiting to board a ship to sail to the US. Should be about a 5 week wait from this point. Getting excited! |
 |

 |
It's FINAL! The 2008 335i Coupe has been ordered and I have a production number. It was bumped to Priority 1 - Customer Sold and the build week was moved earlier. It looks like it will be built in Week 50 of 2007 so that is the week of December 17th. That means delivery will take place in late January or early February.
I have already begun the mod list and you can follow tracking the order in the GARAGE section. I am still waiting on information about the M3. As soon as I know, you will know. |

Updates!
The SEMA show is coming up here Oct 31-Nov 3. I will be there again, but not showing in a booth. I will be contacting companies to promote products on the upcoming Project Cars and on my own performance business.
After SEMA, I will be selling the ZHP. It is a great car with tons of mods, but it is time to start the next project.
Speaking of which: I believe we will be building 2 Project Cars at the same time. A 335i Coupe and E92 M3 Coupe. The M3 is on deposit, the 335i will be ordered soon. By the way, I did get a hold of the M division in Germany and they will indeed put the true M Sport kit on a US 335i if you do Euro Delivery and pay them about $11,000 and a day to install. Sorry, I don't need it that bad. Besides, like the ZHP, I think it will come to the states in mid 2009 anyway as a performance upgrade option.
More to come! |

Happy Independance Day!
Things are moving along. I am working on getting more information about the M Sport package on the 335i here in the USA. It is available in Europe, but not here. I don't accept that answer.
The E36 M3 I bought is a great car and is lots of fun to drive. It's not quite as extensive a car as the ZHP, but a great daily driver no less.
I drove the ZHP today and had so much ridiculous fun that I am going to drive it tomorrow to work too. I can honestly say I will never again own a car that doesnt have an LSD in it. And have I said I want the TS3 kit now??? |

First, Bimmerfest 2007 was a blast! I believe it was the biggest one yet. It went by way to fast though. I am looking forward to next year. Start planning for 2008!
One a side note, I picked up a 1999 M3 coupe for a steal and only 71k miles. I am calling it my Project Car 2.5 to play with until I go pick up my 335i later this year or early 2008. I added this M3 to the GARAGE section with the mods it came with and what I am adding for entertainment's sake. Enjoy! |

This Twin Screw is so much fun! I keep missing dyno time due to my work schedule. I am working on it.
Also, only two weeks to BIMMERFEST! Santa Barbara, Earl Warren Showgrounds, May 5 2007. I will be there in the ESS booth, come check out the car if you're there! |

I finished the review page for the ESS Twin Screw. If you are interested, CHECK IT OUT. |

I decided to change the format of my DIYs from now on for the better I think. Now they will always be on one page to make printing easier. Also, I have broken them into sections and aligned the photos with the sections. Finally, the text of the DIY has direct links to the corresponding photos so you dont have to scroll and hunt for the required picture.
And so, without any further delay, the new style DIY for the ESS TWIN SCREW SUPERCHARGER is finally complete! Enjoy! |

 |
Happy Halloween everyone!
Well, the lungs of the Project Car have been transplanted. The ESS TX-2 has been removed and installed successfully into another ZHP and running great. My car is now awaiting the arrival of the new Twin Screw. You will know more as soon as I do! |
 |
August 22, 2006
 |
Small update: I replaced the Bosch 710 Bypass valve on the TX-2 system with a Bosch Sport. It has much better internals such as a brass valve face with synthetic seal instead of a rubber flapper. I didn't have any problems before, but this should allow better sealing and boost control in the long run.
At the same time, I got a new software update from ESS. The DME should be back in the car tonight and I will give my impressions.
Twin Screw is still coming, you will know when I do! |

I would like to welcome a new supporter to my330i.com. A good friend of mine runs an apparel company which specializes in European themes. To give you an idea, he also created the official shirt for Bimmerfest 2006.
Check it out at POLIZEI CLOTHING! |

 |
Good stuff to tell! I will be installing the ESS Twin Screw on the Project Car in July. I will assist with the DIY and installation manuals. I will also provide a full review and, of course, lots of photos!
I also got my hands on a bunch of pictures of the new BI-TURBO engine coming from BMW for the 335 models. Take a look! |

Changed the LSD fluid back to Redline today.
I was running AMSoil in it and it would make strange growling noise while low speed turning. Redline must have the magic friction modifiers since the noise is gone now.
Also, if you hadn't heard, ESS released information about the new upcoming TWIN SCREW supercharger for the E46 325/330/ZHPs. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing! |

Two things: BIMMERFEST was incredible this year. Easily the best show yet. I thank everyone involved from Tim, Mark, and Jon to the great vendors and superb attendees and their rides. What a great day, I want to do it again this weekend!
Second, NEW FORUMS. We were getting overrun with phpbb spam and it was killing the old forums. I have paid for a full licensed copy of vBulletin (everyone's fav) and ported the old forums over as best as possible. Also, you can now reach the forum directly at FORUMS.MY330I.COM as well. |

So, I put the car on corner scales today to check the Praxis and setup a buddy's Praxis on his M3 and found some interesting numbers. In all modes, the front/back and left/right weights are almost a perfect 50/50 within .5%. Very nice on Praxis's part.
However, the cross weights were a different story, over 56% difference, with the axles being opposite by over 300lbs. Now, most people wouldn't notice that, but I wanted it perfect and adjusted Sport mode to 50/50/50. It handles even better but at the cost of not looking symmetrical to the bystander eye. It is about 3/8" higher on the left side than the right. Kinda like BMWs come stock.
I don't mind it as the handling is very neutral and I still have Touring and Track set to Praxis spec.
Just FYI!
More stuff coming next weekend! |

I would like to welcome TESLA ELECTRONICS to my330i.com as a sponsor! We will be reviewing and using their GTechPro RR meter to test the Project Car as it progresses through its current and future stages of construction.

Merry Christmas early; the magazine article came out. It amazes me how long it takes from photos to actually seeing it in print. Thanks to everyone at Bimmer and my sponsors!

Today, I took the ZHP to the Phoenix International Raceway infield road course for a HPDE course and to shoot photos for the ASRA and BMWCCA guys. Car did great on the track, good good fun! I am going to go to lots of these. |

Ran the car on the dyno yesterday and was very pleased. Since I like to load the car on the dyno I used a Dyno Dynamics eddy current dyno. It simulates street driving more accurately. In turn, it reads about 10% less than the inertia drum of a DynoJet. Since everyone is used to Dynojet numbers, it converts to 295hp and 275ft/lbs at the wheels with a perfect air/fuel ratio. I have no complaints!
DYNO RUN
DYNO HP/TQ
DYNO AF/Boost
I have loved the ESS TX-2 Supercharger on my ZHP from day one and loved every minute of driving the car.
More power coming soon! |

Got back from SEMA, nothing super exciting to see this year. Saw the new XBOX 360 in action, a Ford GT cut in half, and a bunch of Ferrari F430s, but all in all nothing super new.
PRAXIS released a system for the Volkswagen Mk4 chassis and had it on display on a Golf.
Working on something big in the near future that is going to change the European performance parts landscape! |
 |
October 21, 2005
 |
Something BIG is on the horizon...
I have been in talks with ESS and there is a monster coming. A new supercharger system capable of things noone else can achieve on our BMWs. It will be available for the M50, M52, S52, M54, S54 and other engines. Keep checking back here for more information! |

I was in the Hot Import Nights show yesterday here in Phoenix. For my first HIN, it was good to see how the shows went down, but I don't think I will show in any others. It is a very, very long day and I am nowhere near award-winning show car material by their standards. I will just continue on my path of making the best handling, fastest, most innocent looking 330i I can! |
 |
September 27, 2005
 |
Just a FYI post:
My first project car (the '01 330i) had the bypass valve go bad after about 85,000 miles. It is not unusual for them to fail from heat and use. Bosch makes a stronger, heavy-duty version of the 710 bypass valve, the Sport 110. You can get it at HOPPEN MOTORSPORT for $55. It is an easy replacement and provides even quicker throttle response. |
 |
September 17, 2005
 |
Did some upkeep this weekend. I drained the LSD after the 1200 mile break-in. I replaced it with AMSOil Series 2000 75W-90 Gear Lube. I have always loved AMSOil products and I am sure I won't be let down here either.
I also installed the UUC TRANSMISSION MOUNT BUSHINGS, changed the transmission fluid back to factory OEM (smoother shifts), and bled the clutch slave cylinder (a bubble was making the clutch chatter). So far, so good!
Also, because of the Bi-Xenon ignitor box location, it poked a hole in my supercharger intake hose. I replaced the hose and wrapped the ignitor in foam and tape to prevent further problems.
SEMA is coming soon (November 1-4, 2005). I will be there! |
 |
August 11, 2005
 |
Since I have some downtime until the next dyno, I have been working behind the scenes. I have UUC TME (transmission mount enforcers) on the way. With the supercharger, short shift kit, and limited slip differential, I get some play in the transmission making the 1-2 shift stiff under full throttle. The TME should take care of stabilizing the twist the transmission is encountering.
Also, I wrote up the full review on the BBS CH WHEELS and the process it took to get them to fit and clear the Brembos. |
 |
August 3, 2005
 |
I received the new supercharger pulley and it is already installed. It only took about 15 minutes to swap it out and change to a 2390mm belt (both supplied by ESS). I drove the car a bunch last night and it does indeed make more power, pulls strong! I will dyno as soon as the weather allows. Here is a picture of the old and new pullies. |
 |
July 28, 2005
 |
|
The 140mm supercharger pulley is on its way and is scheduled to arrive August 8th. I will get it installed and drive it to get a butt dyno, but a true dyno will be run once the Arizona summer heat begins to fade this fall. |
 |
July 3, 2005
 |
We have run the 2004 Project Car on a couple dynos and it appears that we have the wrong pulley on the supercharger. We will run it again when the correct pulley arrives. At only 5.5 psi, it was putting down 271hp. More to come!
Also, the new owner of the first Project Car has written his DIY for the ESS Liquid Aftercooler Upgrade. Check it out! |
 |
June 20, 2005
 |
I finished the VDO GAUGE KIT DIY. Help yourself to it!
Also, the dyno run got bumped a week to this Saturday, June 25th. I will let you all know what it runs! |
 |
June 9, 2005

|
The VDO Gauges DIY is written, I just have to go through the photographs (all 40+ of them) tonight. It should be up this evening! |
 |
May 22, 2005
 |
Yesterday was a blast! We went down to a track event at Phoenix International Raceway and took the Project Car on the road course. It performed extremely well and I also got to see it in action with a very qualified driver behind the wheel. It pulled a 1:16 lap time which was the fastest car on the track. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera, but someone else did! More info to come...
Also, I finished the UUC LIGHTWEIGHT FLYWHEEL/UUC 6-SPD CERAMIC CLUTCH install DIY.
Enjoy! |
 |
May 19, 2005
 |
There are always things going on around here, let us catch up...
I have a dyno run scheduled for June 18th with the AZ BMW group. More info at AZBMW.ORG.
I am still working on the other DIYs, should be up soon.
I will have a MAJOR announcement in the next 6 months or so. Don't worry, it is a very good thing! |

May 4, 2005
 |
For those that didn't see the car at Bimmerfest, a lot of things have been added! Coming soon (hopefully by this weekend), check out the new modifications:
ESS TUNING 8psi TX-2 SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM
UUC LIGHTWEIGHT FLYWHEEL/SPRUNG-HUB CERAMIC CLUTCH
KMS 3.38 LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL
FULL VDO GAUGES
This thing is silly fast now. Supercharger runs great and it pulls hard all the time. I have to give it ESS, they really do build the best kit on the market!
Check back in a few days, lots of info, DIYs, and pics to come! |

BIMMERFEST WAS AWESOME! For those who could not attend, they are putting up picture galleries at bimmerfest.com. We gave out tens of thousands of dollars of gifts in the raffle and managed to raise over $6,000 for the Family Service Agency in Santa Barbara. All in all, the best event yet. Car ran great and the drive was a blast. I look forward to next year! |

Bimmerfest is almost here! We arrived in Santa Barbara last night and we look good for tomorrow! We should have close to 1000 cars and over 2000 people. Race cars, raffles, and really nice cars... it's gonna be a great show, even if it rains!

In preparation of the power goal I plan to acheive, I had the car on the dyno today for a baseline stock run (although the UUC TSE3 exhaust is on it already):
Rear Wheel HP: 200 SAE
Rear Wheel TQ: 190 lb/ft
This is my mark of measurement to work with. I am going to double this... Keep an eye out! |

Hello everyone! I am still here, working diligently behind the scenes. I hope everyone had a great holiday season and wish you the best in this new year.
I am in a bit of limbo as I gather parts and equipment for the next stage of modifications to the Project Car. I had some other issues come up, so it was put on the back burner the last few months. Those have been resolved, it is time to get back to work! |

Now that the PRAXIS is installed, I have taken out the H&R PCS Coilovers. The H&R DIY is now in the GARAGE section.
I will work on the Praxis, Brembo, UUC Evo III SSK, and UUC TSE3 pages tonight and all through next week. |
 |
October 23, 2004
 |
All I have to say is... GET THE NEW UUC TSE3!
This has to be the sweetest sound I have ever heard from a BMW. It arrived yesterday and I installed it today. Beautiful construction, perfect fit, and gorgeous sound make this by far the best exhaust system I have seen yet.
The install is simple, and I took pics, so info is on it's way! |
 |
October 21, 2004
 |
The PRAXIS is installed and it is GREAT! Took some time to get it adjusted correctly, but it is operating flawlessly and the manufacturing quality is excellent!
Check out the RIDE HEIGHTS under normal recommended settings.
Car is detailed, decals on, reservations made, travel set... it's almost SEMA time! |

Boy, have I been busy! Things are cooking over here to get ready for the SEMA show. I think I am going to go crazy. Still lots to come!
For now, I do have something to show everyone. I installed the CLUB SPORT SPLITTERS and created a DIY for them if you'd like to see. I really like the touch they add. |

I've been busy with the DIYs!
I have added links for FIVE (5) more in the GARAGE section. I am busy building the rest and still working on the DVD for the Bimmerfest Movie.
I will also be adding some basic maintenance pages for things such as Microfilter change, Headlight aiming, etc soon! |
 |
June 2, 2004
 |
While I am working on the DIY pages, I would like to welcome CHAPMAN BMW as a title sponsor of my330i.com! I purchased the new 2004 Project Car from Chapman and they were extremely friendly and helpful in getting the right car here even after placing an order for a different unit.
I would also like to welcome BMW WHEELS on board! They carry the largest selection of OEM factory BMW wheels anywhere! If you are looking for any type of wheels, check them out and tell them I sent ya!
Also, I have some of the DIYs linked on the new Project Car. So far, I have the Aux Kit DIY up and a few repeats from the first Project Car. |

THE BIMMERFEST 2004 VIDEO IS COMPLETE!
Yes, after 3 weeks of editing, the BF2004 Movie is finished. I will get it sent over to the guys at bimmerfest.com to host. They should have it up very soon. 14 and a half minutes of pure FUN!
I will release it on DVD as well with some little bonus goodies thrown in. When I figure out how much it's going to cost to produce them, I will start taking pre-orders.
Now that the movie is done, I will start putting the DIYs together for what I have done to the new Project Car. |
 |
May 19, 2004
 |
A little heads up: I have put the factory 18" ZHP wheels and tires on eBay if anyone is interested. Check out the AUCTION.
I am about 80% finished with the editing of the Bimmerfest 2004 video. I should have it finished in about a week. |
 |
May 6, 2004
 |
Bimmerfest 2004 was a blast. The drive was wonderful even though I don't like the roads in California. Driving through the mountains at night was a riot.
I got to see and drive the first Project Car again and it is running GREAT, keeping the new owner very happy!
We didn't really take too many pictures, but we did grab a bunch of video for the Official Bimmerfest 2004 movie. I won't get a chance to work on it this weekend since a good friend is graduating college, but I will dig into it next week. |
 |
April 30, 2004
 |
The day is almost here! Bimmerfest 2004 is tomorrow!
I am already in Santa Barbara as of Friday (this morning) early. I decided to beat the traffic and drive out overnight. I hope to see some of my visitors there! |

OK, I was going to try to keep it on the down low, but...
IT'S HERE. THE 2004 PROJECT CAR HAS ARRIVED! This is only a teaser picture when I took delivery as the car. However, don't look too close... the transformation has begun. It simply doesn't look like this anymore!
Stay Tuned, there is SO MUCH more to come!

It is confirmed...
I *WILL* have the 2004 Project Car at the Bimmerfest 2004 event coming up this May 1st. It won't be even nearly completed, but I will bring it regardless!
Also, I will be bringing lots of goodies to give away as prizes at the show! |
 |
March 25, 2004
 |
I would like to welcome HOEN USA to the list of my330i.com sponsors! They will be providing some lighting for the new 2004 Project Car. I had Lumikos in the first car, but after comparing them side by side, I liked the construction of the Hoens better. The Xenonmatch series matches the color temperature of the factory BMWs much better than the OEM halogens.
As for the project car itself, I'm always updating the tracking and the ship was scheduled to leave Germany today, but it appears it will be tomorrow now. Arg! |
 |
March 10, 2004
 |
To make this a little easier to follow, I have created a TRACKING page which will update everyone on the progress of the new project car order.
It will also give us all an idea of how the production process takes place and how long it takes to occur. Have at it! |
 |
March 7, 2004
 |
|
YES! The new project car has a VIN! It will be built next Friday, March 12. I should see it 3-5 weeks following! I will keep you updated on the tracking! I am very excited. |
 |
March 3, 2004

IT'S COMING! I checked today and the next my330i.com project car is scheduled for production in Germany. It won't be long now and the wait is killing me!
Also, get ready for Bimmerfest 2004! It is being held May 1st at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, California. I am doing everything I can to have the project car in my hands for the show.
Regardless, I will be there with a couple of my camera crews. My330i.com will be the official film crew this year and I will be putting together a short film all about Bimmerfest, the cars, the people, and the experience! It is going to be REALLY good. |

I hope everyone is having a very good 2004 so far!
The new 2004 project car will be here in the very near future and I would like to take a moment to again thank all of my loyal visitors, sponsors, manufacturers, and my friends and family for truely making this a one-of-a-kind BMW community.
Trust me, it's only going to get better from here!
On a side note: I have gone back and added torque values to the DIYs in the GARAGE section to make sure we are staying as accurate as possible during our modifications. |

First off, HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone! It is been a interesting year, but 2004 will prove to be VERY exciting for all of us, I feel it!
Second, let me welcome two brand new sponsors to the my330i family! BBS WHEELS and TURNER MOTORSPORT have joined on to create an even better BMW community here at my330i.com!
BBS USA is based in Georgia and manufactures high-performance, lightweight wheels for racing and street use. They are well-known for their involvement in many facets of racing from F1 to Autocross. You will see BBS wheels on the next my330i.com project car coming very soon!
TURNER MOTORSPORT, based in Massachusetts, provides a whole slew of BMW performance parts for ethusiasts like us and participates in the SPEED WORLD CHALLENGE series as seen on the Speed Channel. The drivers, Bill Auberlen and Will Turner, will both be driving the BMW *330i* this year. Great news and we all wish them both the best of luck!
And thats not all! Details coming soon... |

SEMA 2003 was great! The trip itself was even better!
An even more expansive show than last year, this year I officially joined the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) organization.
Also, I got the opportunity to speak with many, many manufacturers of aftermarket parts and I have quite the list built for the new project car. I even met with Will Turner of Turner Motorsports and his fame in the Speed World Challenge. Guess what he wants to upgrade to on the racing circuit?? A 330i! Even better news for the next my330i project car, which is going to be well worth the wait!
If anyone is interested, I'll post pictures of the show... |

It's SOLD! Yes, the first my330i.com project has been sold and the new owner is proudly driving the car in the San Diego area. He loves it and can't wait to see the next project car we are about to build!
Until then, I have thrown around the idea of playing with gas-powered R/C cars and have now taken the plunge. This is my HPI RS4 3 Type SS .12 Nitro 2-speed, full-suspension, ground-up kit. Driven via an RJ Racing XR3 3-channel FM radio, it hauls some serious ass...and the M3 GTR body ain't bad either! :)
Everyone should have one of these things. Go get one and come play with me! |

First off, happy Independence Day to everyone!
Next, I have received my bill from my hosting company for my330i.com. It is over $150 and has to be paid by the 31st or this site is going to go offline. I lost my job 45 days ago and the car did not sell (not even one offer), so I don't have that kind of money laying around. My house payment comes first...
If you would like to make a difference, use Paypal to DONATE TO MY330I.COM or use the button on the left. |
